As we face this looming forced construction in our units, many of us have raised concerns about what we will be exposed beyond the asbestos that we know is present because of the warning posted on unit 17.
Just this morning an email was sent to Israel the head plumper, ccing Larry Gross at CES, asking 1. if he was aware that our apartments had asbestos and 2. was he concerned? Because we were concerned that we were going to be willfully exposed.
Less than 1 hour after the email went out, it was observed that all of the plastic that previously sealed off the partially renovated apartment 17 had been removed! There was now no trace of the asbestos warning!
Israel ignored the inquiry. Once again our concerns went unheeded.
